Identity theft is when someone tries to steal your personal information, which is usually done through being hacked.
2. Why do people do this, for what purpose?
People can do this for many reasons, it tends to always be for personal gain like money.
3.My identity has been stolen. What do I do?
If it was credit card fraud call your company and alert them to the fraud so they can investigate. You can even file a report to the police if you have the evidence of the fraud.
